Once you registered your brand new Cisco ASR to Cisco licensing portal, guess you are done, right? Almost.
To accomplish licensing of your brand new Cisco ASR to Cisco licensing portal, you need to enable flexible license consumption, otherwise you will be in deficit with your licensees. Even you are not forced to enable it before you use some of the features, like to configure more than 8 vrfs, in your Cisco portal you will see missing licensees.
What shall I do to be compliant with Cisco policy?
It is very simple task, just enable flexible consumption with this command on Cisco ASR:
license smart flexible-consumption enable
And, done. No further action needed. your device will show up as compliant to use e.g. vrf-s.
