Cisco ASR9902 is high performance compatible router supporting 1/10/25/40/100G ports speed and can be combined changing interface models on router. If 1G is supported on Cisco router, usually I am not considered what kind of SFP types are supported, I assume all types can be used except some special models.
But, what about ASR9902 and 1G ports?

Checking Cisco 1G compatibility matrix for ASR9902 we will find information that only two types of SFP are supported, SFP-1G-LH and SFP-1G-SX, no 1G SFP-T nor any other type of 1G transceiver. This was a bit surprising for me, not expecting such a restriction. But, if we take a look from another angle, and say 1G copper ports are needed, maybe we need to choose a different cheaper router, or if there are more 1G copper ports to be supported, then it is should be considered to go with dedicated access/aggregation switch, instead using ASR 9902 for such purpose, especially because changing port mode in ASR9902 will mean that we lose certain number of available 10G ports. In table you will find supported port mode.
Keep in mind that changing port mode on ASR9902 requires chassis reload.
